Austrian Embassy Viennese Waltz Lessons and Dance Rehearsal for Viennese Masquerade Ball

Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 7:00 PM: Whether you plan to attend our Viennese Ball at Austrian Embassy or would simply like to learn how to dance the Viennese Waltz, as it is danced in Vienna, don't miss this rare opportunity to learn how to dance one of the most elegant and romantic dances of all time. The lessons will be taught on a wooden dance floor at the Austrian Embassy, one of the most magnificent embassies in Washington DC. A dance partner or prior dance experience is not necessary to attend and the Viennese waltz lessons will be taught by Herb and Carol Traxler. Great Falls Hike

Great Falls Park, one of DC’s most spectacular displays of nature, is just minutes from DC. We enjoyed a day of hiking and socializing amidst views of waterfalls, the Potomac River, as well as nature along the C and O Canal.

French Embassy Summer Music Festival

Each year on the summer solstice, the French gather in the streets to celebrate the change of seasons with la Fête de la Musique — a dynamic tapestry of music and dancing. ICDC members enjoyed this annual Summer Music and Garden Festival, the largest cultural festival hosted at the French Embassy. The lively atmosphere in the French Embasys garden included over 50 bands and street performers from around the world.
